Until the results of the tender process are known and have been reviewed, there could be significant changes to the project.  Council should wait until this is clear before locking in the terms of legal documents.

Don’t rush in!

In the spirit of transparency, GBIP have published the water sales documents for the Emu Swamp Dam scheme on their website.  POW! commends this positive step, reflecting the considerable community interest given the potential involvement of SDRC in the project.  While these draft documents envisage that SDRC’s involvement in Emu Swamp Dam may not be on the same terms as the other irrigator members, they raise significant questions for Council and ratepayers in relation to the potential involvement of SDRC in the Emu Swamp Dam project.
